According to SCDF’s new fire code, this device is made compulsory for new residents.

The Ei603i Heat Detector is developed by our partners from Ei Electronics and manufactured in Ireland.

The Detector comes with a 10 Year Lithium battery that is non-replaceable.

The Heat Detector is perfect for kitchen use as compared to Smoke Detectors as it is activated by detecting intense heat from a fire. As smoke is really common in kitchens, the Heat Detector will be ideal as it will be less prone to a false alarm as compared to a Smoke Detector

Fitted with a class A1 sensor that will trigger an alarm when the temperature reaches 58°C ± 4°C. It will automatically reset and silence the alarm when the temperature drops below this limit.

The red indicating LED will flash once every 40 seconds to show that the alarm is powered and it has performed an automatic power supply test.

The large Test button allows the user to check the operation of the Alarm. This will check the sounder, battery voltage and internal circuitry.

The Alarm is supplied with an easy to fit twist-on base to facilitate quick and simple installation, combined with easy detector head removal and replacement.

Heat Alarms can only be used as part of a fire detection system ie interconnected with smoke Alarms situated along the escape routes. TheEi603i can be interconnected via hardwire and wirelessly with the addition of the RadioLINK module Ei600MRF (sold separately or included with the Ei603RF) to communicate with compatible Ei Alarms and accessories. Up to 12 devices can be interconnected.

When used in a RadioLINK configuration, Ei603i heat alarms and other RadioLINK smoke alarms must be house coded. This will avoid interference and interconnection with other RadioLINK systems.
