The breathing apparatus, also known as the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), serves to provide immediate access to breathable air to a person in emergency scenarios. Built with its own portable air supply, it does not require a remote supply of air. With clean air already supplied to you, one does not have to worry about needing any filters within the mask.
